Chelsea duo Karlo Ziger and Josh Grant have been sent out on loan for the remainder of the season to gain experience of first team football according to official club reports.

Both players are thought to be rated highly by the Chelsea coaching staff with the pair having successfully come through the youth ranks at Stamford Bridge.

It has been reported that Under-18s goalkeeper Ziger has joined National League club Sutton United on a loan deal for the remainder of the campaign while Under-23s centre-back Grant has moved to Sky Bet League Two strugglers Yeovil Town on a similar deal.

Croatian youth international keeper Ziger joined Chelsea in 2017 and initially linked up with The Blues’ Under-16 squad. The player impressed in the early days of his Chelsea career and represented the Under-18s on a number of occasions last season.

Defender Grant is one of the more experienced members of the Chelsea academy. The centre-back has been a virtual ever-present for Joe Edwards’ Under-23s side in the Premier League 2 this season and the next step for the youngster is to push for senior honours whether that be at Chelsea or out on loan at another club.

Keeper Ziger could start for Sutton United in their FA Trophy tie at Spennymoor Town this afternoon while Grant could make his Yeovil Town debut at Mansfield Town.
