Chelsea FC Women have completed three victories in eight days with a 2-0 success at neighbours West Ham United this afternoon.

Swiss international Ramona Bachmann bagged a brace as Emma Hayes’ side made it three wins out of three.

Fran Kirby had an early opportunity to open the scoring for The Blues but she was denied by home keeper Becky Spencer when one-on-one. The Hammers stopper pulled off an even better save to deny Hannah Blundell from scoring minutes later.

Beth England was next to test Spencer but her superb volley was also clawed away from danger as the first half ended goalless.

Chelsea took the lead 18 minutes into the second half when Bachmann fired an excellent effort into the net via the post.

West Ham United had little to offer in response as the contest effectively faded out. Chelsea grabbed a second goal four minutes before the end when Bachmann advanced towards the home goal. The attacker had plenty of options around her but she made the decision to curl another stunning effort beyond Spencer into the net.

That was pretty much that. Victories over Liverpool, Fiorentina and West Ham United have all been recorded in the last eight days and The Blues are starting to prove any doubters wrong.
