Chelsea have confirmed that they will wear yellow away from home during the 2018/2019 campaign with first images of the new kit revealed this morning.

The away kit is manufactured by Nike just like the home kit and is now available from The Blues’ online store and megastore.

The away shirt is all yellow other than a royal blue collar while the shorts are also yellow. Chelsea will wear blue socks with two yellow hoops towards the top. One unique feature on the shirt is the Chelsea lion on the inside neckline while the words from the club anthem ‘Blue is the Colour’ and ‘Football is the Game’ also appear.

Last time Chelsea had a yellow away kit was in the 2014/2015 when they lifted the English Premier League title under former boss Jose Mourinho. The Blues won 26 of their 38 league games as they regained their league crown with a final points total of 87, eight better than nearest challengers Manchester City.

In that season, boss Mourinho was awarded the Manager of the Season award while attacker Eden Hazard was credited with the Player of the Season award.

It has been reported that Chelsea will wear their new away kit for the first time when they take on Inter Milan in Nice in the International Challenge Cup later this month.
