Finnish international striker Adelina Engman has agreed to join Chelsea FC Women from Swedish club Kopparbergs/Goteborg FC next month according to The Blues’ official website.

The 23-year-old forward is tipped to enjoy an exciting future in the game and will now test herself in the new ‘full-time’ FA Women’s Super League in 2018/2019.

Chelsea are expected to have to pay an undisclosed fee for Engman who will join The Blues when the Swedish Damallsvenskan season officially ends next month. At this stage, the full details of Engman’s proposed contract with her new club is unknown.

Engman started her senior career in her homeland with Aland United. The player won two Naisten Liiga titles with the club while her record of 63 goals in just 113 appearances made her one of the most feared attacking players in Finnish football.

In 2015, Engman joined current club Kopparbergs/Goteborg FC and she has featured heavily for the Swedish outfit in all competitions.

Engman’s talent shone through from a young age. The player was a senior international for her country at just 17 years of age and the striker has regularly been selected by the national coach ever since.

Chelsea have moved to sign another striker this summer after former Blues forward Eni Aluko left the club at the end of last season.
