Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is again being linked with a move for Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore according to the Daily Star.
The 22-year-old Spanish wideman is thought to have been monitored by The Blues boss for over 18 months, although no transfer offer has been forthcoming.
It has now been reported that Chelsea could look to submit an £18 million transfer offer for the player which will meet Traore’s automatic release clause. French giants Paris Saint-Germain are also thought to be keen on the player.
Traore started his career in his homeland with La Liga giants FC Barcelona. The youngster became a regular for the Catalan giants, although he only featured for the first team on four occasions in which he netted once.
In August 2015, Traore joined Aston Villa in a reported £7 million deal but left the club after just one year at Villa Park with the club having been relegated from the English Premier League.
The winger opted to join current club Middlesbrough from Villa and Traore has gone on to become an important member of the Boro side.
With admirers Chelsea having no UEFA Champions League revenue for the coming season, they may have to look for bargains in the transfer market and Traore could be a cheaper option than some of The Blues’ other targets.
