Young Chelsea defender Dujon Sterling is set to join Sky Bet League Two promotion winners Coventry City on loan according to reports from the Coventry Telegraph.

The 18-year-old Islington-born right-back has won three consecutive FA Youth Cups with The Blues and is highly rated by the South West Londoners.

With Sterling having learnt his trade in both Chelsea’s Under-18 side and the Development Squad, the next move for the player would be to go out on loan and gain some regular first team playing experience in the English Football League. It has been reported that the youngster is poised to join Coventry City on loan with the arrangement likely to span for the entire 2018/2019 campaign.

The full-back has spent a decade at Stamford Bridge after joining Chelsea at the age of just eight. Sterling made his first two senior outings for the first team in the Carabao Cup and Emirates FA Cup this season and is tipped for a bright future in the game.

As well as winning the FA Youth Cup on three occasions, Sterling has two UEFA Youth League titles to his name as well as enjoying further domestic success in the Under-18 Premier League (Southern and National competitions) and in the Under-18 Premier League Cup.
