Chelsea have agreed a new record-breaking sponsorship deal with South Korean multinational automotive manufacturer Hyundai according to The Blues’ official website.
The South West Londoners’ newly-formed partnership will see the Hyundai logo appear on the club’s men’s, academy and women’s shirt sleeves for the next four seasons.
Hyundai have invested heavily in international football but their venture with Chelsea is their very first on English soil. Some of the firm’s sponsorship partners include World and European football governing bodies FIFA and UEFA, the Cricket World Cup, the FIFA World Cup and French football club Olympique Lyonnais.
Blues fans are able to purchase the club’s 2018/2019 home shirts with the new Hyundai-sponsored sleeves from the Chelsea megastore or via the official Chelsea online store.
Chelsea’s association with sponsors in the motor industry has been going on for some time with the club having previously agreed a shirt sponsorship deal with Yokohama Tyres. The Tokyo-based firm has been involved with The Blues since the start of the 2015/2016 campaign and will continue to feature on the front of both their home and away shirts.
Details of Chelsea’s 2018/2019 away shirt are yet to be released. There are rumours that the shirt will predominantly be yellow for the first time in four seasons.
