First choice Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is thought to be unwilling to sign a new contract with the club according to Metro.
The 25-year-old Belgian international stopper has a little over a year remaining on his current deal at Stamford Bridge but talks over a contract extension are believed to have stalled.
Courtois has long been linked with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid and it has now been reported in the Spanish media that the keeper will reject a new contract at Chelsea and move to the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on a free transfer next summer.
The player joined The Blues from Belgian club Genk in a reported £9 million deal in summer 2011 and he signed a five-year deal in South West London. Courtois had to bide his time for first team opportunities with Chelsea and spent three seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid. The Belgian finally got his chance with his parent club in the 2014/2015 campaign and the player has been a virtual ever-present ever since.
Courtois has made 151 appearances in all competitions for The Blues while he has won two English Premier League titles and the EFL Cup with the club. The keeper will complete his collection of domestic silverware in England should his side beat Manchester United in the Emirates FA Cup final later this month.
