Chelsea are again being linked with a move for Atalanta midfielder Bryan Cristante according to Sky Sports sources.

The 23-year-old Italian international midfielder recently joined the Serie A club on a permanent basis from Portuguese outfit Benfica after a successful loan spell earlier this season.

Chelsea were initially linked with a move for the player in November prior to his transfer to the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia and it has now been reported that Blues boss Antonio Conte remains an admirer and he could launch a bid for Cristante this summer.

English Premier League rivals Arsenal are also said to be chasing the midfielder and Cristante’s representatives are believed to have met with at least one unnamed English club within the last couple of weeks.

Cristante started his career with AC Milan but he failed to make any real impact at the San Siro and moved on to Benfica in a bid to launch his senior career. The midfielder did gain further experience with The Eagles  before being loaned to Italian clubs Palermo, Pescara and Atalanta.

The midfielder is thought to be valued at over £30 million by Atalanta and with Cristante beginning to show his full potential, the list of interested parties is set to grow.
