Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is thought to be weighing up a summer move for Napoli right-back Elseid Hysaj according to the Mail Online.
The 24-year-old Albanian international defender has impressed in Serie A this season and it is thought that the player is being tracked by a number of clubs.
It has been reported that Chelsea could lead the race to sign Hysaj while The Blues’ English Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United are also said to be interested in the full-back.
Reports in the Italian media suggest that the player has an automatic release clause of £43.72 million in his contract and it is believed that representatives from Chelsea may have already met with Hysaj’s agent to discuss a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks.
Hysaj has been living in Italy for the past decade and the player joined the youth academy of Empoli soon after his move to the country. The defender went on to make 109 senior appearances for The Blues, scoring one goal and he was promoted to Serie A with the club in 2013/2014.
In summer 2015, Hysaj joined current club Napoli in a deal worth almost £5 million and the player has gone on to be a virtual ever-present for The Little Donkeys.
