Chelsea Under-18s will face London rivals Arsenal in the final of this season’s FA Youth Cup after The Gunners overcame Blackpool in the second leg of their semi-final tie on Monday evening.

The Blues made sure of their own place in yet another FA Youth Cup final by beating Birmingham City 7-0 on aggregate in their semi-final tie.

Jody Morris’ men were made to wait six days to find out their opponents and it has now been determined that Arsenal will be the other finalist after beating Blackpool 5-0 at the Emirates Stadium and 7-2 on aggregate.

Chelsea have already beaten Arsenal once this season when goals from Marc Guehi and Billy Gilmour helped them to a 2-0 win over the North Londoners in a Under-18 Premier League fixture at Cobham. The Blues travel to Arsenal for the reverse fixture on Wednesday 2 May, a game which will see their league campaign come to a close.

The first leg of the FA Youth Cup tie will take place at Stamford Bridge on Friday 27 April (kick-off 7.45pm) while the second leg will be staged at the Emirates Stadium on Monday 30 April (kick-off 7.45pm).

Chelsea completed a league and cup double by winning the title with a 5-1 win at West Ham United on Saturday.
