Chelsea travel to St Mary’s Stadium on Saturday to take on Southampton in a dress rehearsal of next weekend’s FA Cup semi-final clash at Wembley.

The Blues’ first of two meetings with The Saints in a nine-day period comes in the English Premier League with Antonio Conte’s men looking for a first league win in three matches.

The home side go into the match three points adrift of safety and in desperate need of a win to boost their survival hopes.

The Saints manager Mark Hughes will be without defender Jack Stephens (suspension) and midfielder Stephen Davis (Achilles) for the fixture against one of his former clubs. Gabonese international Mario Lemina and frontman Shane Long could be available after overcoming illness and injury.

Chelsea have no new injury concerns ahead of their trip to St Mary’s. Blues boss Conte is again without injured duo David Luiz and Ethan Ampadu while Ross Barkley is also unlikely to be fit enough to return.

Attacking duo Pedro and Olivier Giroud are pushing for recalls to the starting XI after coming on from the bench against West Ham United last weekend.

The match is scheduled to kick-off at 12.30pm on Saturday lunchtime and will be screened live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League channels.
