Chelsea will be looking to build on their excellent 3-0 FA Cup Fourth Round victory over Newcastle United when AFC Bournemouth are the visitors to Stamford Bridge this evening.

The Blues made easy work of the struggling Magpies at the weekend but a much tougher test is expected from Eddie Howe’s Cherries side.

Chelsea are expected to welcome goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and midfielder Cesc Fabregas back to the squad for the match following their recent injuries.

The Blues will be without the first team trio of David Luiz, Willian and Alvaro Morata who are all continuing to nurse injury problems. New signing Emerson Palmieri is not expected to feature.

AFC Bournemouth have had the benefit of 10 days break prior to their visit to Stamford Bridge. The Cherries exited the FA Cup at the Third Round stage and have not played since battling to a 1-1 draw at West Ham United.

Howe’s men arrive in SW6 in good shape although defender Tyrone Mings and striker Jermaine Defoe are missing through injury.

AFC Bournemouth are expected to hand starts to both Junior Stanislas and Joshua King with the pair having built up their fitness in recent weeks following their respective injury problems.

The match is scheduled to kick-off at 7.45pm and has not been selected for live television coverage.
