AFC Bournemouth will be aiming for their only their second ever win at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday evening against Chelsea.
They go into the match currently in a good run of form, having not lost in any of their last five league matches.
Their opponents Chelsea have made their home ground a fortress in recent months, having not lost there in any competition since the end of September.
The two sides have only faced each other 11 times throughout history, nine of which have been won by The Blues, whilst Bournemouth won the other two ties.
Eddie Howe’s side currently contain two former Chelsea players; Asmir Begovic and Nathan Ake were both signed from The Blues at the start of this season for a combined fee of just over £30 million.
Since their previous meeting at Stamford Bridge last month in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, when The Blues won 2-1, Chelsea have lost one of their 11 matches in all competitions. AFC Bournemouth have also been in good form in the past six weeks, with just two defeats in their last eight games.
Injury wise, Chelsea will be without David Luiz, Willian and Alvaro Morata for the match who are all set to miss out through injury; Thibaut Courtois is in contention to return to the side, after not featuring in The Blues’ last four matches with an ankle problem.
Howe’s team will be without Tyrone Mings and Jermaine Defoe through injury, whilst Harry Arter is also doubtful.
Whilst AFC Bournemouth have struggled to see out games this season, they have kept a very tight defence and they will be tough to break down. However, Conte’s side looked a very solid unit themselves at the weekend against Newcastle United and should pick up their second home victory in the space of three days on Wednesday.
Score Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 AFC Bournemouth
