Chelsea forward Charly Musonda is expected to complete a loan move to Scottish Premiership club Celtic later today according to Sky Sports Sources.
The 21-year-old Brussels born attacker has played a bit-part role for The Blues at senior level this season and will be sent out on loan to gain further first team playing experience.
It has been reported that Musonda is expected to join Glasgow giants Celtic on an 18-month loan deal and the player is thought to have travelled to Scotland to complete the move.
The youngster is a product of the Chelsea academy system and Musonda made his senior debut for The Blues in their penalty shootout defeat to London rivals Arsenal in the Community Shield at Wembley in August.
Musonda was an unused substitute for The Blues as Antonio Conte’s men defeated English Premier League rivals Newcastle United 3-0 in the FA Cup Fourth Round at The Bridge on Sunday and that looks to be the Belgian’s last involvement for his parent club for some time.
Despite being set to spend a significant period of time away from South West London, it is thought that Musonda’s long term future remains at Stamford Bridge. The player recently signed a new contract with The Blues which ties him down to the club until 2022.
