Watford are preparing to offer Brazilian winger Richarlison a lucrative new deal at Vicarage Road in a bid to fend off transfer interest from English Premier League rivals Chelsea according to Metro.

The 20-year-old Nova Venecia born wideman has enjoyed a hugely impressive season to date for The Hornets since joining the club from Brazilian outfit Fluminense in a reported £11.2 million deal last summer.

Richarlison has arguably been Watford’s top performer this term and his good performances have not gone unnoticed with both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur having been linked with moves for the youngster in recent weeks.

It has been reported that Chelsea are looking to attract the player to Stamford Bridge in time for the 2018/2019 campaign however it is believed that Watford will offer a lucrative new deal to Richarlison in a bid to fend off any transfer interest from their rival English Premier League clubs.

Richarlison has been an ever-present in the English Premier League for The Hornets this season and the player has netted five goals for the club. The winger was named in the Brazilian Serie A Team of the Year in recognition of his performances for former club Fluminense last season and Richarlison has continued his rapid development during his short time in England.
