Chelsea have returned to winning ways in the English Premier League with an impressive 4-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.

Eden Hazard bagged a brace while Willian and Victor Moses were also on the scoresheet as The Blues made easy work of The Seagulls on the south coast.

It took Chelsea just three minutes to take the lead when a deflected Moses cross fell the way of Hazard who made no mistake in firing the ball into the net from close range.

Just three minutes later it was 2-0 to Antonio Conte’s men when a sublime flowing move between Hazard, Michy Batshuayi and Willian saw the Brazilian rifle the ball beyond Albion keeper Mat Ryan into the back of the net.

Tiemoue Bakayako was then unable to beat Ryan with a low shot before Willian and Batshuayi were also denied by the Albion stopper.

On the half hour, the home side were unlucky not to score when Tomer Hemed saw a header superbly kept out by Willy Caballero before Markus Suttner nudged an effort wide. Batshuayi was then unable to make the most of a goalscoring opportunity at the other end as Chelsea went into the break with a 2-0 lead.

The second half saw the home side rue their bad luck when Pascal Gross’ cross was met by Davy Propper who saw his header strike the crossbar. Chelsea were to rattle the woodwork themselves when a Willian free-kick was palmed onto the post by Ryan.

Chances were not quite as free-flowing throughout the second half but The Blues found themselves 3-0 up 13 minutes from time when Willian’s long ball found Hazard who beat Ryan with ease.

Full-back Moses wrapped up a four-goal success late on with a composed finish as Chelsea won an English Premier League fixture for the first time in 2018.
