Chelsea Ladies have been handed an away tie at FA Women’s Super League 2 club London Bees in the Fourth Round of this season’s Women’s FA Cup.

The draw was made earlier today and it has been determined that Emma Hayes must take her side to The Hive for their first adventure in this season’s competition.

Chelsea will be looking to go a step further than they did in the competition last season when they were knocked out of the tournament at the semi-final stage by Birmingham City Ladies 4-2 on penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw in normal time at Damson Park. The Blues beat both Doncaster Rovers Belles (7-0) and Sunderland AFC Ladies (5-1) on their way to the last four however Marc Skinner’s Blues side were just too stubborn for Chelsea in the semi-finals.

The Blues last faced Women’s FA Cup Fourth Round opponents London Bees in the Continental Tyres Cup in July 2016. It was to be an afternoon to forget for Chelsea with The Bees causing a huge upset by beating The Blues 4-2 on penalties after a thrilling 3-3 draw had been played out by the two sides.

The latest meeting between the two sides is scheduled to take place at The Hive on the weekend of 3/4 February 2018 with full details to be confirmed in due course.
