Chelsea will be looking to go one step further and win this season’s FA Cup when they start the tournament in the Third Round with a match against Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday evening.

The Blues were just 90 minutes away from lifting the famous trophy last season but fell to an agonising defeat to Arsenal at Wembley.

Chelsea’s latest FA Cup opponents Norwich City will be glad to have a distraction from their less than impressive league campaign. Norwich City find themselves nine points behind the play-off places in the Sky Bet Championship table while they have not beaten FA Cup opponents Chelsea in over two decades.

The Canaries have no new injury concerns ahead of their clash with the reigning English Premier League champions and head coach Daniel Farke could opt to keep faith with the side which beat Millwall 2-1 at Carrow Road on New Year’s Day.

Blues boss Antonio Conte is likely to use the match to give some of his fringe players some game time. The likes of Willy Caballero, Kenedy, Ethan Ampadu, Willian and Michy Batshuayi may all start the match while Brazilian defender David Luiz could make his long-awaited return to the starting XI after recovering from a knee injury.

The match is scheduled to kick-off at 5.30pm and will be screened live on BT Sport 2.
