Antonio Conte will come up against Arsenal for the sixth time as Chelsea manager on Wednesday evening.

The Italian only took charge of The Blues in the summer of 2016, but in the period that has followed, he has found his side coming up against Arsenal on a regular basis in all manner of competition.

In his previous five meetings against The Gunners, he has three losses, one victory and one draw to his name. The most famous of those defeats was in the 2017 FA Cup Final, where Arsenal lifted the trophy for a 13th time.

The two sides have already faced each other twice this season. The first of which, Chelsea lost via a penalty shootout in the 2017 FA Community Shield. Most recently, the two sides played out a goalless draw in the league at Stamford Bridge in September.

Wednesday’s clash is the first of three meetings in less than three weeks between these two capital city outfits. After their league meeting at the Emirates Stadium, the two sides will face each other home and away in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup. Before they can think about their last-four cup tie, their attentions will be on this heated derby that has seen its fair share of memorable moments over the years.

Injury-wise, Arsenal could be without Laurent Koscielny and Mesut Ozil for the match, whilst Olivier Giroud, Nacho Monreal and Aaron Ramsey will all miss the game through injury.

David Luiz and Charly Musonda are close to returning for Conte’s side, but the duo will not feature in North London on Wednesday.

Antonio Conte has only ever lost nine times in the English Premier League, however five of those defeats have been against London-based sides.

The Blues may be going into to the match full of confidence after two back-to-back victories, but Arsenal’s eight-game unbeaten streak, which dates back to the start of December, will be very tricky to bring to an end.

Score Prediction: Arsenal 1-1 Chelsea
