Chelsea fans are expecting their side to end their recent poor record against Arsenal when the two sides meet at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday evening according to the results of a series of exclusive Chelsea Presser fan polls.
The Blues have been beaten by Arsene Wenger’s men in both the FA Cup Final and FA Community Shield in the last eight months while Arsenal recorded a credible goalless draw at Stamford Bridge in the English Premier League in September.
Ahead of the latest meeting between the two London rivals, we asked Blues fans whether Chelsea will beat Arsenal. Fans voted in their usual high numbers with 73% of voters opting for a away win while 17% expect Chelsea to battle to a draw. Just 10% opted for an Arsenal home win.
In a second fan poll, we asked fans how many goals they think Antonio Conte’s men will net against The Gunners. Two or three goals was the most favourable outcome with 67% of the votes while 9% believe that The Blues could score four or more. Just 5% of voters anticipate an Arsenal clean sheet while 19% think that Chelsea will bag just one goal.
Finally, with the transfer window now open, we asked Chelsea fans whether the club should move for want-away Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez. Many Blues fans would like to see the Chilean move to Stamford Bridge with 67% backing an approach to be made for the player by the South West Londoners.
The match is scheduled to kick-off at 7.45pm on Wednesday evening and will be screened live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League channels.
