Chelsea have recorded another home victory by demolishing Stoke City 5-0 at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

Antonio Rudiger, Danny Drinkwater, Pedro, William and Davide Zappacosta got the goals as Antonio Conte’s men heaped further pressure on visiting boss Mark Hughes.

Chelsea raced into a third-minute lead when defender Rudiger headed in a free-kick from Willian and it was soon 2-0 to The Blues with Drinkwater rifling a stunning 25-yard strike into the net.

Stoke City conceded a third midway through the half when Pedro placed an effort into the net from outside of the box before The Potters had a goal ruled out by the referee with goalscorer Mame Biram Diouf having been adjudged to have handled the ball.

The home side had to wait until the final quarter of the match before adding to their lead when Willian slotted in a penalty kick.

A thoroughly one-sided affair ended with a 5-0 victory for The Blues with another rare goalscorer finding the back of the net two minutes before time when Transfer Deadline Day addition Zappacosta blasted in a 20-yard effort beyond visiting keeper Jack Butland.

Conte’s men are back in action on Wednesday evening when they travel to The Emirates Stadium to take on London rivals Arsenal.
