Rumoured Chelsea target Jean-Michael Seri is set to be available for transfer for just £20 million according to reports by Metro.

The 26-year-old Ivory Coast international central midfielder currently plays his football in France with Nice and it reportedly being watched by English Premier League duo Chelsea and Liverpool.

It was initially thought that Blues boss Antonio Conte would have to make a transfer offer in the region of £30 million to have any chance of landing the player however it is now believed that Seri could be available for two thirds of that initial valuation.

Seri started his career in his homeland with ASEC Mimosas before joining FC Porto on loan. The player was unable to break into the first team picture at the Estadio do Dragao and joined Portuguese Primeira Liga rivals Pacos de Ferreira on a permanent deal less than 12 months later.

The midfielder moved to current club Nice in summer 2015 for a transfer fee thought to be close to £1 million. Seri has been a virtual ever-present for The Eaglets and the player’s excellent performances last season resulted in his inclusion in the UNFP Ligue 1 Team of the Year.

Seri has just 18 months remaining on his current deal at the Allianz Riviera and the Ivorian could be ready to test himself at the next level of the game in Europe.
