Atalanta midfielder Bryan Cristante believes that Chelsea would like to sign him in next month’s transfer window according to the Daily Star.
The 22-year-old Italian international ace is currently on loan at the Serie A club from Portuguese outfit Benfica and while the player is expected to join Atalanta on a permanent basis, The Goddess are set to sell Cristante on to make a significant profit on their investment.
It is believed that Atalanta can sign Cristante for just £3.5 million however the player has indicated that English Premier League champions Chelsea are interested in him and the Italian club are likely to offer the player to any willing admirers in exchange for a greater transfer fee.
Cristante has made 22 appearances in all competitions for Atalanta this term and the player has scored nine goals. The midfielder’s keen eye for goal could be something which may impress Chelsea boss Antonio Conte with the Italian keen to reduce the goalscoring burden placed upon striker Alvaro Morata at Stamford Bridge.
The player’s good performances at club level have resulted in Cristante being handed his senior international debut for Italy in the 1-1 draw with Macedonia in October and the talented youngster is expected to go on to achieve many club and international honours in the game.
