English Premier League leaders Manchester City are believed to be ready to move for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez according to The Sun.
The 26-year-old Algerian international wideman has been linked with Chelsea on a number of occasions over the past couple of years but a move has not been forthcoming.
It is understood that Mahrez remains on Blues boss Antonio Conte’s radar however it is Manchester City who are eyeing a move for the player in January with City boss Pep Guardiola looking to bolster his squad.
Mahrez is thought to be happy with life at The King Power Stadium and it remains to be seen whether the player is willing to swap being a key member of the Leicester City squad in favour of being used during squad rotation at Manchester City.
The winger was crowned the Leicester City Player of the Year in 2015/2016 as The Foxes pulled of a miracle English Premier League title success. Mahrez scored 18 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions during that season as his club re-wrote the history books and made a mockery of their big spending league rivals.
As well as being linked with a move to Chelsea on a regular basis, Mahrez has been a reported target of Arsenal and Real Madrid however the player has remained with Leicester City.
