Chelsea are finally set to agree a new four-year contract with attacker Eden Hazard in the next few days according to The Sun.

The 26-year-old Belgian international ace has been the subject of transfer interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid in the summer while French club Paris Saint-Germain were also thought to be interested in signing the player but Hazard now looks set to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge.

It has been reported that Chelsea are finally set to discuss a new improved-terms deal with Hazard which will keep the Belgian tied down to the club until at least summer 2021. The Blues had been rumoured to be preparing to offer the player his new deal some time ago and after some delay, the South West Londoners are ready to spring into action.

Hazard is one of the jewels in the Chelsea crown with the attacker having been named the Chelsea Player of the Year on no less than three occasions including last season as The Blues romped to the English Premier League title under the guidance of new boss Antonio Conte.

The fans’ favourite has bagged 72 goals in 256 appearances for Chelsea since joining the club in a reported £32 million deal from French outfit Lille in summer 2012.

News of the potential new deal for Hazard will delight fans with the player having been instrumental for the club in recent years.
