Chelsea will face English Premier League rivals Everton at Stamford Bridge in the Fourth Round of the Carabao Cup after the draw was made late on Wednesday evening.

The Blues advanced from the Third Round after beating Sky Bet Championship club Nottingham Forest 5-1 on home soil.

Chelsea made easy work of Forest with Belgian striker Michy Batshuayi scoring a hat-trick while youngsters Kenedy and Charly Musonda also got their names on the scoresheet.

Antonio Conte’s men will face an Everton side which they have already beaten comprehensively in the English Premier League this term. The Toffees were defeated 2-0 at The Bridge last month with Cesc Fabregas and Alvaro Morata getting the goals for The Blues in the first half.

Chelsea have beaten Everton on each of their last three meetings, scoring 10 goals and keeping three clean sheets in the process. The Merseyside club last beat The Blues in an FA Cup Sixth Round tie at Goodison Park in March 2016 with Chelsea in poor form at that time.

Everton qualified for the Fourth Round of the Carabao Cup by also defeating Sky Bet Championship opposition themselves, in the form of struggling Sunderland at Goodison Park. The Toffees won 3-0 with Dominic Calvert-Lewin scoring twice while Oumar Niasse also found the back of the net.

The Fourth Round tie will take place week commencing 23 October.
