Young Chelsea midfielder Nathan has joined French club Amiens on a loan deal for the remainder of the season according to The Blues’ official website.

The 21-year-old Brazilian born midfielder is highly rated by The Blues but manager Antonio Conte does not feel that the youngster is ready for first team action just yet.

It has been reported that Nathan has secured a Transfer Deadline Day move to French club Amiens. The Unicorns were promoted from Ligue 2 last season and face a stern test in the top flight this term.

Attacking midfielder Nathan started his career in his homeland with Atlético Paranaense where he successfully made the jump from the club’s youth team to the first team. The player made 24 appearances for the Brazilian outfit, scoring one goal.

In summer 2015, Chelsea signed Nathan for a transfer fee believed to be in the region of £4.5 million and the player was swiftly loaned out to Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem. The midfielder made 51 appearances in two successful seasons Vitas while he scored seven goals.

A further loan move away from Stamford Bridge was always going to be on the agenda this season and Nathan will now attempt to shine in the challenging new environment of Ligue 1.
