Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori has joined Sky Bet Championship club Hull City on a loan deal for the remainder of the season according to The Tigers’ official website.

The 19-year-old Canadian born defender has made just one first team appearance for The Blues to date and has been allowed to go out on loan and gain further senior playing experience.

It has been reported that Tomori will join Blues teammates Ola Aina and Michael Hector at Sky Bet Championship club Hull City. All three players are expected to see out the 2017/2018 campaign with the promotion hopefuls.

Tomori is a product of The Blues’ well respected academy system and the player made his senior debut for the club in a 1-1 draw with Leicester City at Stamford Bridge in May 2016. The youngster has been on Chelsea’s books for the last 11 years after joining the club as an eight-year-old.

The defender spent the second half of last season on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion where he made 10 appearances. Tomori helped The Seagulls secure their place in the English Premier League for the very first time as they finished in second place in the Sky Bet Championship.

Tomori was a member of the England Under-20 side which lifted the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in South Korea in the summer.
