The Blues’ young side will play fixtures in the competition prior to the senior squad’s involvement in the UEFA Champions League.

Chelsea’s UEFA Youth League group sees the club line-up against Azerbaijani club Qarabag FK, Spanish giants Atletico Madrid and Italian club AS Roma.

The Blues will start their UEFA Youth League campaign with a home fixture against Qarabag FK at the club’s Cobham training centre on Tuesday 12 September (1.05pm kick-off) before travelling to Spain to take on Atletico Madrid on Wednesday 27 September (2pm kick-off).

Wednesday 18 October sees Chelsea face AS Roma on home soil (1pm kick-off) before travelling to Italy for the return fixture on Tuesday 31 October (2.30pm). A long trip to Azerbaijan is scheduled for Wednesday 22 November to face FK Qarabag (kick-off time to be decided) before The Blues complete their group fixtures with a match against Atletico Madrid at Cobham on Tuesday 5 December (kick-off 1.05pm).

Red Bull Salzburg are the current UEFA Youth League holders after beating Benfica 2-1 in last season’s competition. Chelsea won the tournament in the two years prior to the Austrian club’s success with final victories over Shakhtar Donetsk and Paris Saint-Germain.
