Young Chelsea midfielder Bekanty Victorien Angban has joined Belgian First Division A club Waasland-Beveren on a season-long loan deal according to The Blues’ official website.

The 20-year-old Ivory Coast international midfielder is a product of Chelsea’s academy system however the player has struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge to date and has failed to make a single senior appearance for The Blues.

It has been reported that the youngster will spend the upcoming campaign with Belgian club Waasland-Beveren as he looks to launch his senior career.

Angban is expected to enjoy a successful career and despite failing to make the grade at Chelsea to date, the player already has a handful of caps for the full Ivorian national side to his name.

The midfielder is set to enjoy his second spell playing in Belgian football. Angban previously had a season-long loan spell in the Belgian Pro League with Sint-Truiden in 2015/2016 with the player going on to make 23 appearances.

Last season saw Angban spend the campaign on loan at Spanish club Granada and the player made 11 appearances in all competitions for The Nasrids.

Angban is a tough tackling midfielder who is known to pick up both cautions and dismissals on a regular basis and should the player keep his temperament in check, he could go on to be a real star.
