It has been reported that Sky Bet Championship trio Bristol City, Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers have all shown an interest in taking the youngster on loan however it is Barnsley who have won the race for Ugbo.

The Tykes will be hoping that the player can make a similar impact in English football’s second tier as fellow Chelsea academy graduate Tammy Abraham did last season. The England Under-21 international striker spent the whole of the 2016/2017 campaign on loan at Bristol City and the striker bagged a hugely impressive 26 goals in 48 matches in all competitions for The Robins.

Blues striker Ugbo was in prolific goalscoring form for the club in both the Premier League 2 and FA Youth Cup last season. The striker netted in both legs of the FA Youth Cup Final against Manchester City while he was regularly on the scoresheet for the Development Squad.

Ugbo joins a Barnsley side who enjoyed a solid campaign in the Sky Bet Championship last season and the scene is set for the youngster to make a name for himself.
