Long time Chelsea target Alvaro Morata is expected to make a final decision on his immediate future next week according to the Daily Star.
The 24-year-old Madrid born hotshot has been tracked by Chelsea manager Antonio Conte for the last 12 months although a deal is yet to be struck with Spanish giants Real Madrid for the player.
It has long been reported that Morata could leave the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium however Chelsea have not yet met The Whites’ £68 million valuation of the player while English Premier League rivals Manchester United have also failed to land the striker.
It is now believed that Morata will discuss his future with Real Madrid next week and will make a final decision on whether to leave the La Liga outfit. Should the player opt to move on, Chelsea boss Conte is likely to scramble to submit a transfer offer for the striker with time running out for The Blues to add attacking reinforcements to their squad prior to the start of the 2017/2018 campaign.
Morata returned to Real Madrid last summer after the Spanish club exercised a clause in the player’s contract at former club Juventus to re-sign the forward in a cut-price deal. Morata found starting opportunities difficult to come by at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium however he still notched 20 goals in all competitions for the club.
