Chelsea youngster Ola Aina has joined Sky Bet Championship club Hull City on a season-long loan deal according to The Blues’ official website.

The 20-year-old Southwark born right-back has impressed for The Blues at both Under-18 and Development Squad levels in recent seasons and the player is set to test himself in senior football.

Ola joins a Hull City outfit which are targeting an immediate return to the English Premier League following their relegation last season. The Tigers spent just one season in the top flight and were well adrift in the battle for survival before the final day of the campaign.

The young defender has three years remaining on his current deal at Stamford Bridge and the loan move allows the player to develop further by playing in an extremely challenging division.

Aina has been on the fringes of the Chelsea first team since manager Antonio Conte arrived at the club last summer and the youngster was handed his debut for the club in an EFL Cup tie against Bristol Rovers at Stamford Bridge last August. The full-back made four further appearances for The Blues throughout the season including two outings in the English Premier League.

The former England Under-20 international is tipped for an exciting future in the game and the temporary move to Humberside could see the player reach his full potential.
