Chelsea will begin their defence of their Premier League title with a match against Burnley at Stamford Bridge after the 2017/2018 Premier League fixtures were announced on Wednesday morning.

The fixture provides a potential banana skin for The Blues with Sean Dyche’s side having excelled during the 2016/2017 campaign. Antonio Conte’s men face a difficult start with a trip to Wembley to face Tottenham Hotspur and a home clash with Everton completing a difficult August for Chelsea.

Other notable fixtures see The Blues face newly promoted Brighton & Hove Albion on home turf on Boxing Day while Arsenal are the opponents in what could be a New Years Day blockbuster at The Emirates Stadium. Chelsea finish the campaign with a trip to St James’ Park where they will face Newcastle United.
