Italian Serie A club Inter Milan are understood to be set to submit a transfer bid for Chelsea goal machine Diego Costa according to The Express.

The 28 year old Spanish international hotshot has been in sparkling goalscoring form for The Blues this season netting 10 goals in just 15 games.

Chelsea have been completely dependant upon the striker’s goals and are set to offer the player an improved terms contract extension in a bid to hold on to Costa’s services for the long term.

Despite Costa’s proposed salary increase at Stamford Bridge, it has been reported that Italian giants Inter Milan would like to sign the striker and The Black and Blues are believed to be set to bid around £50 million for the player’s services. Inter Milan’s transfer offer could be deemed as derisory given the fact that Costa is arguably one of the world’s most in form goalscorers at the current time however the Italian club may be set to test Chelsea’s resolve.

The Blues have got used to fending off interest in their star man. Costa was strongly linked with a return to former club Atletico Madrid in the summer however Chelsea held on to their player despite Costa having received some persistent interest from the Spanish club.
