Chelsea are set to offer winger Victor Moses a contract extension following a string of fine performances for The Blues according to Metro.

The 25 year old Lagos born wide man has been in superb form for Chelsea in recent weeks as Antonio Conte’s side have risen to the Premier League summit.

Moses has been fielded in an unfamiliar wing back role however the player has taken to the challenge with no complaints are has been one of the shining lights in The Blues side.

It has now been reported that Chelsea boss Conte will open talks with the Nigerian international to discuss a contract extension to his current deal which is set to expire in summer 2019. Moses has recently been linked with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona but The Blues are desperate for the player to remain at Stamford Bridge.

Moses is a product of the academy system at Crystal Palace and the winger made 69 appearances for The Eagles scoring 11 goals before moving to Wigan Athletic for a reported £2.5 million transfer fee. The player spent two-and-a-half years with the Lancashire club before Moses joined Chelsea in August 2012.

The winger scored 10 goals in 43 appearances in his first season at Stamford Bridge but spent the next three seasons on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United. Moses has returned to South West London this term and is enjoying arguably the most successful spell of his career.
