Spanish giants Barcelona are thought to be ready to offer a deal to experienced Chelsea full back Branislav Ivanovic according to Metro.

The 32 year old Serbian international right back has spent the last nine years contributing to a golden era at Stamford Bridge however Ivanovic’s Chelsea career is set to end in the summer with the club not expected to offer the player a new deal.

It has now been reported that Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona are considering offering Ivanovic a contract at the Camp Nou. Current Barca right back Aleix Vidal could be sold in the near future leaving the club searching for reinforcements at full back.

Ivanovic signed for Chelsea from Russian club Lokomotiv Moscow back in January 2008 for a reported £9.7 million transfer fee. The player has gone on to make 369 appearances for The Blues and has scored 33 goals.

The full back is set to leave The Bridge with a whole host of silverware including two Premier League winners medals, three FA Cup medals, a League Cup medal and having lifted both the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League trophies.

Ivanovic was dropped by Blues manager Antonio Conte following a 3-0 defeat at Arsenal in September and the defender’s days at the club look numbered.  The Serbian is thought to want to stay in London however a potential offer from Barcelona could tempt Ivanovic to Spain.
