SkyBet Championship club Bristol City have agreed to loan young Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham for the duration of the 2016/2017 season The Robins’ official club website has revealed.

The 18 year old is a product of the academy set up at Stamford Bridge and is tipped to have a huge future in the game.

Abraham helped The Blues’ academy side lift the FA Youth Cup last season and had impressed so much that the player has taken part in pre-season training sessions with the first team ahead of the current campaign.

The youngster makes the temporary move to Ashton Gate to play his part in an ever improving Bristol City squad. Robins manager Lee Johnson looks to be putting an excellent squad of players together at the club and there is a real chance that City could challenge in the top half of the table in the coming season and push for the top six.

Abraham has a phenomenal goalscoring record at youth team level for Chelsea with the player having netted 74 goals in just 98 matches for various age groups.

The striker is available for first team selection for The Robins’ home fixture with newly promoted Wigan Athletic at Ashton Gate on Saturday.
