Chelsea’s 2019/2020 UEFA Champions League involvement will finally resume this evening as Frank Lampard’s men travel to Germany to face Bayern Munich in the second leg of their last-16 tie.

The Blues are 3-0 down from the first leg at Stamford Bridge and they face a near-impossible task to quality for the quarter-finals.

Bayern Munich go into the match fresh from a 1-0 friendly victory over French club Marseille last weekend. Serge Gnabry netted the only goal of the game in the first half of the behind-closed-doors clash at the FC Bayern Campus Plaz 1.

The German side have not played a competitive fixture since defeating Bayer Leverkusen 4-2 in the DFB-Pokal final at the beginning of last month.

Bayern Munich boss Hans-Dieter Flick will be without both Benjamin Pavard and Kingsley Coman for tonight’s tie with the pair suffering with muscular and ligament problems.

Chelsea travel to Germany without youngster Billy Gilmour and forward Pedro who are ruled out through injury. Willian is also absent with the player poised to join Arsenal.

Cesar Azpilicueta and Christian Pulisic could be assessed before kick-off while N’Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have been declared fit to play.

The match is scheduled to kick-off at 8pm and will be screened live on BT Sport 1.
