Chelsea FC Women midfielder Guro Reiten has signed a new deal which will keep her at Kingsmeadow until summer 2023 according to reports on The Blues’ official website.

The 26-year-old has starred for Emma Hayes’ side in her first 12 months with the club.

Reiten is an integral part of Chelsea’s future plans to dominate both domestically and in European competition and it has today been revealed that the Norwegian international has agreed a new three-year deal with The Blues.

The midfielder was Chelsea’s third-highest scorer in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League last season behind Beth England and Ji So-yun while only Arsenal forward Vivianne Miedema contributed as many assists. Reiten is clearly an all-round talent and one which is rated extremely highly by her manager Hayes.

Upon signing her new deal at Kingsmeadow, Reiten told The Blues’ official media sources “My first season was amazing and I don’t think there is a better place to be right now than this club.

“I’m very happy here and the club have showed that they want me here. I want to keep building and continue where we stopped last season.”

Chelsea and midfielder Reiten will learn of their first opponents of the 2020/2021 Barclays FA Women’s Super League season on Friday when the fixtures are released.
