Chelsea will be hoping to lift the Emirates FA Cup for the second time in three seasons this evening when they take on Arsenal in the final at Wembley.
The Blues comfortably saw off Manchester United in the semi-finals with Lampard’s side capitalising on a couple of goalkeeping errors from David de Gea as they won 3-1. Chelsea’s attentions now turn to London rivals Arsenal, a club who have won the Emirates FA Cup more times than anyone else.
Arsenal find themselves back at Wembley after beating Manchester City 2-0 in the semi-finals. The Gunners boss Mikel Arteta will be without injured quartet Calum Chambers, Pablo Mari, Shkodran Mustafi and Gabriel Martinelli for their showdown with The Blues while Cedric Soares is cup-tied. Defender Hector Bellerin is pushing for a recall following a minor injury problem.
Chelsea boss Lampard has a near-fully fit squad at his disposal. Youngster Billy Gilmour continues to be sidelined following surgery while he has been joined in the treatment room by fellow midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Influential midfielder N’Golo Kante is expected to start with the Frenchman now at full fitness.
The 2020 Emirates FA Cup final is scheduled to kick-off at 5.30pm and will be screened live on BBC One and BT Sport 1.
