Chelsea go into their final match of the Premier League season against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday knowing that they need just a point to secure their UEFA Champions League qualification for next season.

Defeat to champions Liverpool at Anfield on Wednesday evening means that Frank Lampard’s side still have a job to do on the final day against a Wolves side who so often prove tough to beat.

Chelsea go into the match with influential French midfielder N’Golo Kante likely to be available for selection following a spell out with a hamstring injury. Fellow midfielder Christian Pulisic is also pushing for a recall to the starting XI after impressing against Liverpool in midweek.

The Blues continue to be without youngster Billy Gilmour who is recovering from surgery. He could also miss the start of next season.

Like Chelsea, visitors Wolverhampton Wanderers also have European ambitions. They need to better Tottenham Hotspur’s result at Crystal Palace to make sure of their qualification for next season’s UEFA Europa League.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo has no injury concerns to contend with following his side’s 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Molineux on Monday evening.
