Chelsea face one of their toughest assignments since the restart on Saturday evening when they travel to Bramall Lane to take on Sheffield United.
The Blues are currently third in the Premier League table but both Leicester City and Manchester United are breathing down their necks therefore Frank Lampard’s side cannot afford any slip ups with just four matches remaining of the 2019/2020 campaign.
The home side have recovered well from a sticky spell, taking seven points from an available nine in their last three matches. The Blades could hand late fitness tests to midfielder John Fleck and forward David McGoldrick while manager Chris Wilder could also opt to rest Oli McBurnie with the striker suffering from fatigue.
Chelsea make the long trip north without young defender Fikayo Tomori who continues to be ruled out with injury while he will be joined on the sidelines by midfielders N’Golo Kante and Billy Gilmour.
The Blues could welcome back Mateo Kovacic with the player having recovered from the knock sustained at West Ham United nine days ago.
Chelsea’s Premier League fixture at Sheffield United is scheduled to kick-off at 5.30pm on Saturday evening and will be screened live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League channels.
