Chelsea will take on either Italian side Napoli or Spanish giants FC Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the 2019/2020 UEFA Champions League if they perform a miracle by knocking Bayern Munich out at the last-16 stage.
The Blues trail the German champions 3-0 from the first leg of their last-16 tie with the return fixture set to finally take place at the Allianz Arena next month.
Should Chelsea pull off a huge shock by reversing the severe damage which their UEFA Champions League hopes suffered back in March, UEFA have announced that The Blues will face Napoli or five-time champions FC Barcelona in the quarter-finals. That tie would be played on a one-off basis on neutral territory at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica in Portugal. The tie would take place on Friday 14 August.
Chelsea have also learnt that their potential semi-final opponents would be one of either Real Madrid, Manchester City, Juventus or Lyon. The one-off semi-final tie would take place on Wednesday 19 August and would again be staged at a neutral venue, that being the Estádio José Alvalade in Portugal.
The final of the competition is scheduled to be played out at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica four days later.
