Chelsea will be hoping to take another step towards UEFA Champions League qualification by beating Crystal Palace in their latest Premier League fixture at Selhurst Park on Tuesday evening.
The Blues returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over struggling Watford on Saturday night and their attention now turns to a London derby at out of form Palace.
The home side are currently on a losing streak of three matches in the Premier League and manager Roy Hodgson must again do without the services of injured trio Martin Kelly, James Tomkins and Jeffrey Schlupp as they prepare to take on Chelsea.
Frank Lampard’s Blues make the short trip across South London with concerns over French midfielder N’Golo Kante who picked up a hamstring injury in the victory over Watford at The Bridge. Young defender Fikayo Tomori and American midfielder Christian Pulisic remain sidelined with their respective injury problems.
Chelsea won the reverse fixture 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in early November. On that occasion, Palace held on until just after the half-time break before Tammy Abraham broke the deadlock with a low finish. Pulisic rounded off the victory with a close range finish 11 minutes from time.
The Blues’ fixture at Crystal Palace kicks-off at 6pm on Tuesday evening and will be screened live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League channels.
