The Football Association have today confirmed that Chelsea’s Emirates FA Cup semi-final tie with Manchester at Wembley will be staged on Sunday 19 July and will kick-off at 6pm.

A mouth-watering tie sees Frank Lampard’s Blues take on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United side in what is a re-run of the 2018 Emirates FA Cup final, a fixture that Chelsea won 1-0.

The semi-final ties are being staged behind-closed-doors on 18-19 July and it has been revealed that Chelsea’s tie with United will take the Sunday fixture slot. The evening kick-off will be screened live on BBC One and on the BBC iPlayer.

Chelsea and Manchester United have already met on three occasions this season. United have won all three fixtures and seemingly have a hold on Chelsea during manager Lampard’s reign in charge of The Blues. Manchester United won the first meeting 4-0 in the Premier League at Old Trafford in August before a 2-1 victory at Stamford Bridge sent Chelsea crashing out of the Carabao Cup. United completed a league double over The Blues with a 2-0 victory in SW6 in February.

Arsenal and Manchester City meet in the other Emirates FA Cup semi-final tie with that fixture taking place a little under 24 hours prior to Chelsea’s meeting with United.
