Chelsea will face Manchester United in the semi-finals of this season’s Emirates FA Cup after the draw was made earlier this evening.

The Blues will take on The Red Devils in a re-run of the 2018 final, which Chelsea won 1-0 thanks to Eden Hazard’s first half penalty kick.

Frank Lampard’s men find themselves in the last four after holding their nerve to beat Leicester City 1-0 at The King Power Stadium this afternoon. The home side were arguably the stronger of the two sides in a goalless first half but Chelsea were improved after the break with Ross Barkley guiding home the only goal of the game on 63 minutes.

Manchester United’s passage to the semi-finals was far from straight forward. The Red Devils huffed and puffed as they eventually overcame a 10-man Norwich City side in extra-time. United won the game 2-1 after 120 minutes following a 1-1 draw in normal time.

The other semi-final tie will see Arsenal face the winners of this evening’s quarter-final tie between Newcastle United and Manchester City.

The Emirates FA Cup semi-final ties will take place behind-closed-doors at Wembley Stadium on the weekend of 18-19 July with the final being pencilled in to be staged at the same venue on Saturday 1 August.
