Chelsea forward Adelina Engman has left the club and signed for French top flight side Montpellier HSC according to reports on The Blues’ official website.

The 25-year-old attacker has spent the last two years of her career at Kingsmeadow after joining The Blues from Goteborg FC in 2018.

Engman made 25 appearances for Emma Hayes’ side during her two years in South West London while she netted six goals. The player never really benefitted from an extended run in the side with her Chelsea stay having been heavily hit with a catalogue of injury woes.

Having been born on the Aland Islands, Engman started her senior career in the Finnish top flight with Kansallinen Liga club Aland United. The forward won two league titles with Aland United while she represented the club in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

In 2015, Engman moved to Sweden where she joined Goteborg FC. The player spent three years at the Valhalla IP Stadium where she was a first team regular.

Engman joined latest club Chelsea in 2018 and the striker has played her part in the club’s return to the very top of the women’s game in England during her time at the club. She leaves with Barclays FA Women’s Super League and FA Women’s Continental League Cup winners’ medals in the bag.
