Teenage midfielder Tino Anjorin has signed a new five-year contract with Chelsea according to reports on The Blues’ official website.

The 18-year-old Poole-born midfielder has successfully made the step up from the Development Squad into the first team environment and the player is regarded as one of the club’s hottest young talents.

With Anjorin having displayed signs that he will become a first team regular, manager Frank Lampard has moved quickly to secure the youngster’s services for the long term and it has today been reported that the player has signed on at Stamford Bridge until summer 2025.

Anjorin joined Chelsea’s Development Centre Programme as a six-year-old and officially signed for the club three years later. The midfielder played his part in the success of The Blues academy as various levels and he was an FA Youth Cup, Under-18 Premier League and Premier Academy League winner with the club.

First team boss Lampard handed Anjorin his senior debut as Chelsea thrashed Sky Bet League Two club Grimsby Town 7-1 in the EFL Cup in September before the player made two further appearances for The Blues prior to the suspension of football in March.

Anjorin is likely to be involved when the Premier League returns in under a fortnight’s time with Chelsea facing nine league fixtures in a short period of time.
